Terms of Service
Plain-language terms for using Grace. Please read them before you sign up.
Last updated July 11, 2026. Draft terms pending legal review before real-user launch.
1. Agreement to these terms
By creating a Grace account or using the Grace app, you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use Grace.
2. What Grace is — and isn't
Grace watches booking confirmation emails you connect or forward, and sends alerts before a free-cancellation window closes, so you have a better chance to avoid a late-cancellation fee.
Grace is a best-effort reminder tool, not insurance and not a guarantee.Grace does not guarantee that every fee will be avoided, that every booking will be detected, that every alert will be delivered or delivered on time, or that the cancellation window, fee amount, or policy Grace displays is accurate or current for your studio. Studios change their policies without notice; email formats change; notifications can be delayed, filtered, or blocked by your device or carrier. You are responsible for confirming and managing your own bookings and cancellations directly with each studio. Grace is a convenience, not a substitute for reading your studio's actual cancellation policy.
3. Accounts
You must provide accurate information to create an account and are responsible for activity on your account. You must be a US resident to use Grace in this version, and you must be old enough to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction.
4. Connecting your inbox
You can connect Grace to your Gmail account (read-only access, used only to find booking-related email) or forward booking emails to a Grace-provided address. You represent that you have the right to grant Grace access to the mailbox or forwarded messages you provide. You can disconnect your mailbox or stop forwarding at any time; doing so will stop new alerts for bookings Grace hasn't already detected.
5. Subscriptions and billing
- Free tier. Grace is free to use with one connected studio brand, at full alert quality, for as long as we offer a free tier.
- Grace Pro.Unlimited connected studio brands for $4.99/month or $39.99/year, billed in advance through Apple's in-app purchase system or, where offered, through Stripe via a link in the app.
- Auto-renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the then-current price unless cancelled before the end of the current billing period. Apple or Stripe (as applicable) handles billing and will charge your payment method on file at renewal.
- Cancellation. Cancel any time in the App Store subscription settings (for Apple-billed subscriptions) or through the Stripe customer portal link in the app (for web-billed subscriptions). Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep Pro access through the end of the period you already paid for. Cancelling does not retroactively refund the current period.
- Refunds. Refund requests for Apple-billed subscriptions are handled by Apple under its own policies. Refund requests for Stripe-billed subscriptions can be sent to support@trygrace.app and are considered on a case-by-case basis.
- Price changes. We'll give advance notice before increasing subscription prices; continued use after a price change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the new price.
6. Acceptable use
Don't use Grace to violate any law, to interfere with the service, to attempt to access other users' data, or to abuse the connect-inbox or forwarding features (for example, forwarding mail you don't have the right to share).
7. Termination
You can delete your account at any time (see the Privacy Policy). We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or that we reasonably believe pose a security or legal risk to Grace or other users.
8. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
Grace is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Grace and its operators are not liable for any late-cancellation fee, missed cancellation, missed alert, or other loss arising from your use of, or inability to use, the service — including losses caused by inaccurate studio policy data, delayed or undelivered notifications, or email-provider outages outside our control. Our total liability for any claim relating to Grace is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.
9. Changes to Grace or these terms
We may update these terms as Grace evolves. We'll post the updated terms here with a new "last updated" date, and where a change is material, we'll make a reasonable effort to notify you directly. Continued use of Grace after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of [State/jurisdiction placeholder — to be finalized by counsel before launch], without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
